單字講座 141：illicit (adj) / elicit (v)

孔雀開屏，色彩繽紛，美不勝收。然而，這樣的美景，卻是金門人的惡夢。1999年，丹恩颱風吹毀金門畜試所養殖藍孔雀的籠舍，造成14隻孔雀歸隱田野。藍孔雀繁殖力強，26年來，成長百倍，引發「金門孔雀之亂」。滿山遍野的野生藍孔雀，不僅影響農作，對金門原生種造成危害，更可能危及飛安。話說「引發」是 illicit 還是 elicit 呢？下方說分明。



▍illicit (adj) 非法的 = illegal = illegitimate

▍elicit (v) 引發
▶ 例1：樂團精彩的表演引發觀眾自發的掌聲，甚至加演。
