常見的片語「不得不…」有以下六個寫法，請注意片語後方動詞變化：
■ cannot but + 動詞原形
■ cannot help but + 動詞原形
■ cannot choose but + 動詞原形
■ can do nothing but + 動詞原形
■ cannot help + Ving
■ have no choice/ option/ alternative but + to 動詞原形

例句：由於強颱逼近，我們不得不取消這趟旅行。

With a strong typhoon approaching, we have no choice but to cancel the trip.
With a strong typhoon approaching, we cannot but cancel the trip.
With a strong typhoon approaching, we can do nothing but cancel the trip.

例句：Susan 漂亮、機智且幽默。她是個讓你不得不愛上的女孩。(即：一定會喜歡)

Susan is pretty, witty and humorous. She’s a girl who you cannot help but love.
Susan is pretty, witty and humorous. She’s a girl who you cannot help loving.

例句：我姐是個購物狂，她克制不住花錢的欲望。

My sister is a shopaholic. She cannot help spending money.
