哆啦 A 夢的「翻譯蒟蒻」成真了！台灣新創公司「聲麥無線」用一片玻璃解決了 12 國語言障礙，還進駐了日本博多車站、桃機，甚至台積電宿舍。當對話雙方對著這面透明玻璃說話時，它會同步翻譯和並列顯示雙方語言，讓兩人溝通無礙。話說「文字翻譯」是 interpret 還是 translate 呢？下方說分明。




▍interpret (v) 口譯 / 詮釋解讀
▶ 例 1：這個 app 可幫使用者將聽到的話馬上口譯成另一種語言。
This app helps its user to instantaneously interpret spoken words from one language to another.

▶ 例 2：Josh 對她比中指。她把這舉動解讀成意圖激怒她。
Josh flashed his middle finger at her, and she interpreted it as an attempt to annoy her.

▍translate (v) 文字翻譯 / 轉變
▶ 例 1：我把英文歌詞翻譯成中文，因為 Mike 看不懂英文。
I translate the lyrics into Chinese for Mike, who does not read English.

▶ 例 2：早期診斷和儘早治療可轉化出較高的存活率。
Early diagnosis and early treatment can translate to higher survival rates.
