「燈泡」是個具有多重意義的標誌。由於電燈泡本身就是二次工業革命的重大發明，所以它代表的特點就是「靈感與創新」。常見漫畫人物靈光乍現時，頭上就會冒出一個發光的燈泡。而在宗教信仰中，燈象徵智慧之光，照亮前路，破除愚昧與黑暗。情侶約會時，電燈泡指的卻是那個不識趣的第三者。話說「特點」是 landmark、hallmark 還是 trademark 呢？下方說分明。



▍landmark (n) 地標
▶ 例 1：自由女神雕像不但是紐約的知名地標，也是自由和機會的象徵。

▍hallmark (n) 特點 = characteristic
▶ 例 1：對精益求精的強烈渴望就是這名明星球員的特點。
The strong desire to get better was a hallmark of this star player.

▍trademark (n) 商標 / （某人的）招牌標誌
▶ 例 1：“Just Do It” 是 Nike 運動鞋、運動服飾和相關商品的商標。
“Just Do It” is a trademark owned by Nike, Inc. for its athletic footwear, apparel, and related products.

▶ 例 2：爺爺用他的招牌拐杖隨旋律輕打拍子。
Grandpa tapped his trademark walking stick to the beat of the tune.
