If I can master one foreign language, it will be French. The reason why I choose it is that it is widely used throughout Africa, which is predicted to let the company there earn the fortune, especially electric engineering.
If I master French, first I would start my electric engineering business there. With its cheap labor, abundant solar and wind resources, vast tracts of land, and closeness to major markets, I could reduce much of my cost and thus my company has more chance to thrive. Stacks and stacks of money will go nowhere but into my pocket. However, the purpose I start business there isn't just for my ambition in making a fortune, but increase the well-educated population there and make people in Africa have a better level life. Electrical engineering requires high technique and high degree, which can attract elites around the world to Africa. Therefore, basic facilities, sanitation system and educational institutions will all be constructed. Then the living level there will be improved. That is, the poor can have right for studying and even have right for having a toilet at home.

As a prospective electrical engineering major, I see Africa as the world’s next powerhouse. I envision vast arrays of solar panels stretching across the Sahara Desert and harvesting abundant sunlight to generate clean, green power. For energy planners and sustainable businesses alike, the continent is an absolute goldmine.
If I can master one foreign language, it will be French, as it is spoken as an official language in over 20 African countries. Achieving high proficiency in French will allow me to launch my electrical engineering venture and seamlessly connect with local communities and business partners. With Africa's affordable labor, abundant solar and wind resources, vast tracts of land, and proximity to major markets, I can significantly reduce operational costs and thus my company stands a greater chance of thriving. However, my purpose in establishing an energy company in Africa is not just to pursue personal fortune but to uplift local communities by expanding educational opportunities and raising their standards of living. Therefore, I intend to reinvest our profits into developing local infrastructure, sanitation systems, and educational institutions. In short, learning a new language will not only boost my career prospects but also profoundly change the way I see and interact with the world.
